Our Staff

We have a dedicated and caring teaching staff who work hard to provide children with a quality learning experience.  Members of our teaching staff include:

Connie Pietrafetta, Director/Teacher
    Connie has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education, and a Post Bachelorate Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on Motor Development in Children. Connie has been teaching preschool for 37 years and has been the Owner/Director of Mansfield Children's School for 31 years. She has been an active member of her community for the past 35 years.
Sue DesJardins, Co-Director/Teacher
    Sue has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and has completed coursework in Preschool Administration for certification as Director of a Preschool. Sue has been a member of our teaching staff for 13 years, during which time she was Lead Teacher for four years. She worked at a career in restaurant and retail management prior to joining our staff.
Julie McCarthy, Teacher/(Pre-K 2) Enrichment Program
    Julie has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on language arts, and a Bachelors Degree with two majors in Elementary Education and Moderate Special Needs. Julie has been a member of our teaching staff for three years. She taught second grade for six years, and worked as a substitute teacher in grades K-2 for three years during which time she held two long-term Kindergarten positions in Mansfield. Julie held a position as chairperson for Reading is Fundamental (RIF) for five years prior to joining our staff.
Patty Harwood, Co-Teacher/(Pre-K 2) Enrichment Program
    Patty has a Bachelors Degree in Primary Education with a double major in English. She has been a member of our teaching staff for one year. She taught at a local preschool as an assistant teacher for two years, and as a Teacher for four years. She taught First Grade for one year, after working as a substitute teacher in the public schools for 3 years. Prior to joining our staff, Patty had been a classroom volunteer for the "I Care" Special Needs Program, and a volunteer for (RIF) Reading Is Fundamental.
Lisa Muller, Teacher
    Lisa has a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, and a state certification as Teacher in Early Childhood Education. Lisa has been a member of our teaching staff for six years. During that time, she was a Teacher for one year, and an Assistant Teacher for four years. Prior to joining our staff, Lisa was a Girl Scout Leader for several years, and spent much of her time as a volunteer in the public schools for kindergarten through grade 2, as well as assisting in Mansfield kindergarten screening.
Patty Flammini, Assistant Teacher
    Patty has been a registered nurse for 22 years. She has been a member of our teaching staff for one year. She worked as a school nurse at the Charter School for one year. During that year, she assisted in children's screenings as part of her job. Patty has also been a part-time daycare provider for four years. Prior to joining our staff, she was a volunteer for (RIF) Reading Is Fundamental.
